The ladies from Forgotten Feet have visited our hostels.

Homelessness can be caused by many factors. Mental health, drug and alcohol misuse, or just bad luck can be a factor. Looking after your feet may not be a priority.

In December, the kind souls from Forgotten Feet made their latest visit to one of our hostels. Forgotten Feet, who were set up in 2013 and became a registered charity in 2018, aim to put in place a free chiropody/podiatry service for those most in need and least likely to have access to this service.

This invaluable service treats various foot related ailments. They offer free care to those who may not always have the means to look after their feet. Their project tends to be of a basic short-term nature and aims primarily to alleviate pain, replace worn out or ill-fitting footwear to prevent further problems, and help with simple biomechanical issues, as well as to show compassion – an important consideration.

Our residents certainly feel the benefit of their care and service.
